Tri-Pillar Scholarship Tournament Rules & Registration

Inaugural Tri-Pillar Scholarship Fundraising Golf Tournament at Bristol Golf Club115 Cedar Creek Rd, Bristol, TN 37620

Format: Four-Person Scramble

  • Teaming: Each team consists of four players.
  • The Shot: Each player hits a tee shot. The team selects the “best” shot. All players then play their next shot from that spot. This process continues until the ball is holed.
  • Marking the Ball: The position of the selected shot should be marked (usually with a tee or coin).
  • Ball Placement: * In the Fairway: You may move the ball one club-length from the mark, no closer to the hole. You may improve your lie (e.g., move from a divot to grass).
    • In the Rough/Hazard: You must play the ball from the same condition (if the selected ball is in the sand, everyone plays from the sand).
    • On the Green: You may move the ball one putter-head length from the mark, no closer to the hole.
  • Minimum Drive Requirement: Each team member must have their drive selected 2 times during the round.

Tee Box Assignments

  • Men (Under 65): Normal Tees
  • Seniors (65+): 1 or 2 Up
  • Ladies: 1 or 2 Up

3. Scoring & Pace of Play

  • One Score per Team: Only one score per hole is recorded on the official scorecard.
  • Double Bogey Maximum: To maintain the pace of play, the maximum score on any hole is a Double Bogey. If your team misses your Bogey putt, pick up your balls and move to the next hole to keep the tournament moving.
  • Scorecard Return: All scorecards must be signed by at least two team members and turned in at the scoring table immediately following the round.

4. Fundraiser Special Rules (The “Fun” Stuff)

  • Mulligans: If purchased at registration, a Mulligan (Max 8 per team) may be used for any shot (tee to green). Once a Mulligan is used, the original shot is void..
  • Gimme Circle: Any ball resting within the “length of a standard putter” from the hole may be picked up and counted as “in.” (Does not count on the Hole In One Contest hole.)
